Be on the Watch for Online Phone Directory Scams

"I feel that I was misled by the fax I received. It asked me to correct and add information to my record. Thinking it was the real Yellow Pages, I made corrections to my address, gave them my e-mail address, and faxed it back. I failed to read the fine print. Is there anything I can do about the bill for $1,068.00?" A local businessman filed this complaint with the Better Business Bureau against an outfit called Yellow Page B.V., which was threatening to sue him if he didn't pay the bill for an online directory listing it claimed he agreed to buy.
